1 C. flour
1 C. sugar
5 T. cocoa
1/8 t. salt
2 t. vanilla
1 C. mayonnaise
1-1/2 t. soda
1 C. water
Preheat oven to 350°. Sift bry ingredients; add water, mayonnaise, vanilla, and mix well. Pour into greased and floured 9-inch by 13-inch baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Glaze with frosting.
Confectioner's Frosting
3 C. confectioner's sugar
1 T. light corn syrup
2 T. butter or margarine, softened
3 T. hot water
In a small mixing bowl, beat together sugar, corn syrup, butter and water until smooth. If frosting is too thick, add more water drop by drop. This will make a glaze-type frosting that isn't too thick. It's also a good decoration for cookies.
